A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

This is Machinehead Moto

Welcome to Machinehead Moto

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Where passion for motorcycles fuels creativity, engineering, and a true sense of community.

We’re Dave and Nicky Raymond — partners in life, in business, and on the road. What started as a shared obsession for bikes has grown into a space for riders, creatives to connect and feel at home.

Why We Ride

STEP INSIDE THE STORE

Machinehead Moto is part custom workshop, part riding gear HQ, and part community hub.

Drop in for a new helmet, grab a coffee, or chat about your next bike project. This is a space to connect, explore, and celebrate the freedom motorcycles represent — and the clarity they bring.

BEHIND THE SHUTTERS

Just beyond the main shop floor is our in-house custom workshop — where we fine-tune bikes, fit parts, and bring builds to life.

We built this space for riders like us — because it should be more than a transaction. It should feel like a place that gets you.

How It All Began

Before Machinehead Moto, our lives were shaped by long careers in the corporate world — careers that, ultimately, left us burned out. Life threw some tough challenges our way: Nicky survived a life-threatening brain haemorrhage, and Dave faced a rare eye condition. Those moments changed everything. They gave us clarity about what really matters.

We discovered motorcycles during a trip to Scotland — and something clicked. That first spark turned into a vision: to create a space for others like us. For people who value individuality, community, and the joy of two wheels.

Building Machinehead Moto

In the heart of the Loseley Park Estate in Guildford, Surrey, we found the perfect home for our dream.

Surrounded by 1,400 acres of countryside, we transformed a converted shed into Machinehead Moto — a space that blends custom motorcycle engineering, creative expression, and community.

Here, it’s about more than just bikes. Whether you're here to work on your motorcycle, grab a coffee, or connect with fellow riders, Machinehead Moto is designed to feel like home.

Special thanks to the British Motorcycle Insurance Community (BMIC) for recognising our journey. Read their article about us here.

Our Approach

At Machinehead Moto, motorcycles are more than machines — they’re personal expressions of freedom and individuality.

That’s why we offer:

Custom Motorcycles

Tailored designs to match your style and personality.

Parts & Apparel

Hand-picked and custom motorcycle parts, accessories, and quality gear that reflect who you are.

Community Events

A space where mental health, shared passions, and connection come first.

We proudly support causes close to our hearts, including the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (raising funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer), the British Heart Foundation, Movember, and other community events and fundraisers.

What’s Next?

Machinehead Moto is just getting started.

From ride-outs and off-road adventures to community gatherings and live music in the yard, we’re building a home for motorcycle lovers in Guildford, Surrey — and beyond.

Whether you're a seasoned rider or new to the world of motorcycles, this is a space for you.

Stop by, share your story, and be part of the journey.

We can't wait to see where the road takes us next.

WHAT DRIVES US

Machinehead Moto was built from burnout and built for connection. Motorcycles gave us clarity, purpose, and community — and we created this space to share that. Whether you're here to customise your bike, ride out, grab a coffee, or just feel a little more like yourself again — you’re welcome here. We proudly support causes like the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, the British Heart Foundation, and Movember — because riding is about belonging, not just the road.
