Young Rider E-Bike Experience
School holiday off-road riding for ages 10–16
Hosted by Machinehead Moto at Loseley Park
Delivered in partnership with Desert Rose Adventure Riding Academy

Why we opened this up to younger riders
We get asked all the time.
Kids come into the shop with their parents, stare at the bikes, ask questions — and then look completely gutted when they realise they’re not old enough to join in yet. Parents ask us when their kids can start riding, where to begin, and how to do it without throwing them straight into something intimidating.
Electric bikes changed that conversation.
With no clutch, no petrol and no engine noise, young riders can focus on the fundamentals first — balance, control, body position and awareness — building confidence in a calm, supportive environment.
Rather than continuing to say “not yet”, we built something that opens the door properly: a positive first step into life on two wheels.

What to expect on the day
Sessions begin in an open field, where riders get comfortable with the bike and learn control through simple exercises. Once confidence builds, riders progress into the surrounding woodland to explore natural terrain at their own pace.
This is a guided riding experience designed to be fun, confidence-building and memorable.

Care, supervision & consent
Sessions are delivered by Desert Rose Adventure Riding Academy, whose instructors are DBS checked. Riders are supervised at all times.
Parents are welcome to stay nearby at Machinehead Moto during sessions.
Parental consent is required before booking.
How places work
Sessions run during school holidays and are released in small, considered groups.
Rather than first-come-first-served booking, places are allocated based on age, height and experience level. This helps us create balanced groups and the best possible experience for every rider.

Register Your Interest
If this sounds like something your young rider would enjoy, the best next step is to register your interest. We’ll collect a few details so we can share dates as they’re released.
We’ll email pricing once dates are confirmed — registering interest doesn’t commit you to a booking.
